Heroes and legends, angels and demons, the spiritual and traditional; these are the words that define Tibet best. But Tibet is also known for its vast and beautiful landscapes and peaks of snow radiant in the sunlight. The combination of beauty and spirituality makes every journey to Tibet exciting and enticing. As you move around Lhasa and the immortal Potala palace and surrounding monasteries, the feeling of awe and serenity tingles in the senses of every curious westerner. This trip will take us out of Lhasa and into Gyantse from where we move towards the beautiful Yamdrok Tso which can be reached by cross the famed Kamba La Pass. We will also be visiting the beautiful Pelkor Chode Monastery at Gyantse. This monastery was built in 1418 A.D and is a dark place and though the place houses amazing Murals and Thangkas, you will need a torch to view them. Another highlight of this trip is a visit to the beautiful Tashilunpo Monastery. The beautiful gold top structure of Tashilunpo is set right at the foothills of the beautiful Nizer Ri Mountain and the temple is home to lots of monks dedicated to fulfilling the teachings of Lord Buddha. We will end our trip back in Lhasa.
