Itinerary Details

Day 1: Kathmandu, Nepal
On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received at the airport and transferred to your Hotel. Once all the members of your group arrive, you will be given a small briefing. This will give you an entire overview about the entire trip and also about how to get the best out of this trip. This also includes practical information about the trip in Nepal. You will need to bring with you your passport, all tour vouchers and a copy of your insurance policy to this briefing so that your tour leader can obtain important details that are essential to the running of the tour. While you are in Kathmandu you will be able to see all its charm in full glory. It is a beautiful city with an exciting harmony of the old and the new. This city has a wonderful history that dates back to almost 2500 years back.

Day 2 : Kathmandu
Today you will be invited to visit Bouddha Nath and Swayambhunath Stupas, held holy by both the Buddhists and the Hindus equally. The sightseeing will continue till the evening. You will also be able to visit the famous Durbar Square which was the hub for hippies in the early 70’s. Today there is a wonderful museum that might amuse you (B)

Day 3 : Pokhara - Phedi - Dhampus (1,770m)
Today in the morning we will take a flight to Pokhara which is a very enjoyable experience. To the north there are excellent views of the Himalayan range. The flight will take us about 30 minutes.
Once we reach Pokhara we will be driving to Phedi. This will serve as the starting point of this amazing trek. The trail almost immediately starts ascending across beautiful cultivated fields. There are astounding views of Machhapuchhare all along the way. We keep climbing and after 2 hours we will reach the village of Dhampus situated at a height of 1,770 mt (BLD)

Day 4 : Dhampus – Tolka
Today we will have to scale up steadily along a high ridge trail up to Deurali Pass situated at a height of about 2,100mt. From here there are wonderful views of Pokhara as well as the Annapurna Range on the other. You can decide where you want to look because both these sights are astoundingly beautiful. As we cross the pass we will have to descend towards Tolka (1,850m). Tolka offers you with fantastic views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare and Hinchuli. Even the landscape on which it is set, stunning which the adornment by small beautiful hamlets (BLD)

Day 5 : Tolka - Ghandruk (1,940m)
Today we will be moving into a valley that gradually opens itself. The opening reveals wonderful views and the trail becomes exotic all of a sudden. The Modi Khola River meanders along the end of the valley and to the place where the hills soar up and contours steeply exposing a large field of corn dancing in the winnowing breeze. There are the amazing peaks of the Annapurna Range at the backdrop. We will keep on ascending up until we reach Ghandruk. This trek will take us about 5 hours (BLD)

Day 6 :Ghandruk - Tatopani
You will have to walk from the Pioneer Boarding School. At first a little descent from the ridge and once you reach a stream flowing past it’s an uphill climb. A little later you will be moving through the forest of Baisi Kharka and then you continue walking upwards and in a while you will reach Tatopani (2710mt). Tatopani literally means “far water” and you will see just why, when you go a little below the village. There is a water supply system here and fortunately now the pipes are available to reach water to distant places. This trek will take us about 4 hours (BLD)

Day 7 : Tatopani- Ghorepani (2,860m)
We will have to continue walking down beside the river you cross a long suspension bridge to the east bank. At a cluster of houses the trail divides: one branch continues downstream to emerge at the head of the road at Beni but your path takes off steeply uphill, making an altitude gain of about 12,200m to reach the small settlement of Chitre.
Continue walking uphill to Ghorepani (horse watering place). This was a main staging post on the old trade route to Pokhara although nowadays it is less used with most mule traffic going down the Kali Gandaki to exit at the road head at Beni. The main settlement of Ghorepani is down the other side of the pass. We will be spending two nights at Ghorepani. This trek will take us about 6 hours (BLD)

Day 8 : Poon Hill /Ghorepani - Birethanti
We will climb up to Poon Hill situated at a height of about 3,190m early in the morning. If conditions are clear in the morning Poon Hill offers a magnificent panoramic view of the mountains, this afternoon. To the east across the Kali Gandaki is towering Dhaulagiri, while Annapurna South and Hinchuli are directly in front of you, with Machhapuchhare and others looking less distinguished a little further to the East. Far to the east the rolling hills diminish in size and you can see the serpentine Chinese road snaking its way through the hills and where the road ends at the Phewa Tal (Lake), Pokhara can be seen. If there is cloud it is better to leave the climb of Poon Hill till sunrise the next morning (BLD)

Day 9 : Pokhara
We will be moving downwards today towards the village of Birethanti. From here we will drive to Pokhara (B)

Days 10-11 : Pokhara
There are a lot of things to do and see in Pokhara. We will start by taking a boat ride in the calm moss green water of the Phewa Lake. You can also swim or take a canoe across this beautiful lake. There are a lot of hotels and restaurants with interesting themes around the lake. Pokhara is a beautiful town in western Nepal and has been constantly attracting tourists. The landscape all along the path is a continually varying delight for the eye and your heart as there are wonderful rock canyons and rivers, undulating hills, terraced rice paddy fields and striking views of the Himalayas at its backdrop. The places in and around Pokhara is the most admired destination in Nepal apart from Kathmandu. It’s a beautiful region with beauty in its most natural form and serves as the base for some of the most popular treks in Nepal and world. There is the unbelievable Annapurna range that comprises of the famous Annapurna I to IV plus Annapurna South, and the magnificent Machhapuchhare popularly known as the ‘fishtail’ mountain (B)

Day 12 : Chitwan
Today we will take a flight to Chitwan. Here we will be visiting the Chitwan National Park. The park is home to some of the most endangered animals on earth. This is perhaps one of the most wonderful sanctuaries in the world due to its dense nature and numerous animals living safely in the remote parts of the jungle. The one horned Rhinoceros, Tiger, Leopard, different species of wild cats, elephants, sloth bear, gaur, wild boar, crocodiles, rhesus monkeys, pythons and the king cobra find shelter in this beautiful park. There are also about 350 species of birds which includes peacocks and eagles living here (BLD)

Day 13 : Chitwan
You can have the pleasure of riding the tamed Asian Elephant and explore the Jungle. A jungle safari is almost incomplete without an elephant back ride. You will have an opportunity to see the wonderful one horned Rhino which is perhaps one of the most endangered species in the world. Canoes are also available across the Rapti River. You can see fresh water dolphins and crocodiles this way. But there's no need to worry because the crocodile will not attack you unless provoked. You will also be offered a lot of other activities like jungle walks and bird watching. The best time to explore the area is early morning or late afternoon. You will be advised to not wear any bright colored clothes to provoke these animals (BLD)
