Itinerary Details

Day 1 : Kathmandu
On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received at the airport and transferred to your Hotel. Once all the members of your group arrive, you will be given a small briefing. This will give you an entire overview about the entire trip and also about how to get the best out of this trip. This also includes practical information about the trip in Nepal. You will need to bring with you your passport, all tour vouchers and a copy of your insurance policy to this briefing so that your tour leader can obtain important details that are essential to the running of the tour.
While you are in Kathmandu you will be able to see all its charm in full glory. It is a beautiful city with an exciting harmony of the old and the new. This city has a wonderful history that dates back to almost 2500 years back (D)

Day 2 : Kathmandu
After breakfast, half-day sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest temple for the Nepalese which is situated by the Bagmati river, one of the tributaries of the Holy Ganges. You will also be invited to visit Bouddha Nath and Swayambhunath Stupas, held holy by both the Buddhists and the Hindus equally. The sightseeing will continue till the evening. (BD)

Day 3 : Nagarkot
Today we will be driving towards Sankhu, which is a small city in itself mostly inhabited by the Newar community. The place is agriculture based and some 2 km away there is a beautiful temple dedicated to the tantric goddess Vajra Yogini. We will then move on towards Nagarkot where we will transfer to our hotel (BD)

Day 4 : Nagarkot
Nagarkot is well known for the magnificent view of the sunrise it offers. After watching the stunning sunrise you can stroll around Nagarkot where there are many places that will offer you clear view of the Himalayas in an almost 270° stretch and also there is a great view of Indrawati River down towards the plains. There are a lot of wonderful short trek options from Nagarkot and the most popular one among them is a short trek to Dhulikhel (BD)

Day 5 : Dhulikhel
In the morning we will be taking a route that moves through pine forests until we reach the Changunarayan temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This walk will take us about 4 hours. The old city of Bhaktapur is only about 6 km from here. This is a city where ancient Newari culture still flourishes in all magnificence and grandeur. The city is said to have been built in the shape of Lord Vishnu’s conch shell. The Durbar square and the Nyatapola (a five storied temple) are a perfect example of Newari Architecture.
Dhulikhel is only about 15 km away from here. We will stroll around Dhulikhel where there are some interesting things to see. This place has lately been attracting a lot of foreigners simply due to its beauty and charm. We will halt for the night at Dhulikhel (BD)

Day 6 : Hattiban
From Dhulikhel we will be taking a trail that moves through small forests and slopes that will take us to the small village of Panauti. This walk will take us about 4 hours. The village of Panauti is classically Newari in nature and life. It has numerous instances of Newari architecture but the most basic of them all are the finely carved windows in most houses in this village. It is located at the meeting point of the two rivers. According to popular legend Lord Buddha, in his previous incarnation sacrificed his body in order feed a famished tigress and her cubs. A memorial to this amazing sacrifice was built at Namobuddha which today is considered a holy site for both the Buddhists and the Hindus. From Panauti we will be moving towards Patan, which stands just west of Kathmandu. Its only a one hour drive from Panauti to Patan. The Patan Durbar Square is a place where you will see a lot of temples and palaces. They are a perfect example of the ancient artistry of Nepal. Later we will be moving towards Hattiban which is at a distance of about 19 km from Patan and will take us about 45 minutes to reach there. Hattiban is famous the views it offers of Mount Everest and Ganesh Himal. We will halt overnight at Hattiban (BD)

Day 7 : Hattiban
After we have seen what Hattiban is really about we will be moving towards the Dhakshinkali Temple. This temple is located in a rather dark valley right at the union of two brooks. There is the shrine of Dhakshinkali which is considered holy by all Hindus. You can see the daily rituals being performed here. A few km beyond Dhakshinkali is Pharping which is famous for temples and shrines and specially because there is a beautiful Buddhist monastery. Once you are introduced to the monks here, you will be shown the famed Padma Sambhava Cave right in the courtyard. Today this site has become a major pilgrimage stop for Tibetan Buddhists. From Pharping we will make a walk for about 4 hours to the Champa Devi Hill. Champa Devi hill is situated at an altitude of about 2,247m and is also known as Dhinacho. It lies to the southwest of Kathmandu. On the top of the hill you will find a Hindu shrine and a Buddhist Stupa. On our way back, we will use the route that moves west next to a ridge and climbs down a slope to Naikap and to Thankot. We will catch a bus from here to Kathmandu.

Day 8 : Pokhara
Today in the morning we will take a flight to Pokhara which is a very enjoyable experience. To the north there are excellent views of the Himalayan range. The flight will take us about 30 minutes. Once we reach Pokhara we will transfer to our hotel (BD)

Day 9 : Pokhara
Today early in the morning we will be driving to Sarangkot for the wonderful view of the sunrise. There are a lot of things to do and see in Pokhara. We will start by taking a boat ride in the calm moss green water of the Phewa Lake. You can also swim or take a canoe across this beautiful lake. There are a lot of hotels and restaurants with interesting themes around the lake. You can also visit the Tibetan Handicraft Centre and later to Devil’s fall (BD)

Day 10 : Chitwan
Chitwan stands at a distance of about 165 km away from Pokhara and it'll take us 5 hour drive to reach there. Once we reach there we will transfer to our lodge (BD)

Day 11-12 : Chitwan
Today right after breakfast we will be traveling to Chitwan National Park where the next two days are going to be enjoyable. The park is home to some of the most endangered animals on earth. This is perhaps one of the most wonderful sanctuaries in the world due to its dense nature and numerous animals living safely in the remote parts of the jungle. The one horned Rhinoceros, Tiger, Leopard, different species of wild cats, elephants, sloth bear, gaur, wild boar, crocodiles, rhesus monkeys, pythons and the king cobra find shelter in this beautiful park. There are also about 350 species of birds which includes peacocks and eagles living here.You can have the pleasure of riding the tamed Asian Elephant and explore the Jungle. A jungle safari is almost incomplete without an elephant back ride. You will have an opportunity to see the wonderful one horned Rhino which is one of the most endangered species in the world. Canoes are also available across the Rapti River. You can see fresh water dolphins and crocodiles this way. But there's no need to worry because the crocodile will not attack you unless provoked. You will be advised to not wear any bright colored clothes to provoke these animals. You will also be offered a lot of other activities like jungle walks and bird watching. The best time to explore the area is early morning or late afternoon. (BLD)

Day 13 : Kathmandu
We will be transferring to Bharatpur and then fly to Kathmandu. On arrival transfer to Hotel (BD)

Day 14 : Kathmandu
This will be a leisure day in Kathmandu where you can either visit this beautiful city or do some shopping (BD)

Day 15 : Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport for your departure (B)
