Itinerary Details

Day 1 : Kathmandu, Nepal
On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received at the airport and transferred to your Hotel. We will then have a small briefing about the entire trip. You will be given a lot of practical information about how to utilize your time perfectly in Nepal and also about what to expect and what not to. While you are in Kathmandu you will be able to see all its charm in full glory. It is a beautiful city with an exciting harmony of the old and the new. This city has a wonderful history that dates back to almost 2500 years back.

Day 2 : Kathmandu
Today you will be invited to visit Bouddha Nath and Swayambhunath Stupas, held holy by both the Buddhists and the Hindus equally. The sightseeing will continue till the evening. You will also be able to visit the famous Durbar Square which was the hub for hippies in the early 70’s. Today there is a wonderful museum that might amuse you.

Days 3 : Rafting
This day, we will be driving out of Kathmandu and go for rafting to the Trishuli River After an introduction to our rafting team and after some safety tips we will embark upon a great rafting adventure. The Trishuli River is perfect for a great whitewater rafting experience. We will be covering a distance of at least 30 kilometers through gorgeous landscape with abundant small enjoyable rapids (L)

Day 4 : Pokhara
We will continue with our rafting for sometime and then pack up our things and take a bus to Pokhara (BLD)

Day 5 : Annapurna Trek
We catch a bus at a short distance from the village of Nayapul and then walk towards the village of Birethanti situated at a height of about 1,000mt which will be the base of our trek. This trek will take us about 1 hour.

Day 6 : Ghandruk
We have to pass through a check-post which is at a little distance and after that we keep continuing on, through terraced rice fields of Chimrong and then to a beautiful small village called Syauli where we will halt for the night. From this village there are beautiful views of the grand peaks of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare which can be seen to the north right at the entrance of the Annapurna Sanctuary. From here we will have to make a steady climb on what looks like a stairway made out of stones. These steps will take us high above the river valley. There are excellent views of the Annapurna Range to the north. A short steep ascent takes us to Kimche situated at a height of 1630 mt. After catching our breath here we will continue on a rather broad track towards Chane. There are fields of green beyond Chane and in a little while amidst myriad prayer flags fluttering in the sky we will reach the largest village in this area, Ghandruk. This village is inhabited by the Gurung community. This involves about 5 hours of walking.

Day 7 : Potana
Today's trek will be a little difficult one as we have to walk a great distance. We will have to move upon an undulating trail up to Landruk. The green hills with snowy peaks at the backdrop are breathtaking. We will then have to move across farmlands. A steep climb will take us to Deurali. We will continue along a ridge until we reach the village of Potana. This trek will take us about 7 hours.

Day 8 : Pokhara
We will be making a short trek in the morning. We will have to descend along a ridge and move into a farmland near Dhampus. We will soon move across small villages and emerge into Phedi. From here we will take a bus to Pokhara. The trek will take us about 3 hours and the drive to Pokhara will be for 45 minutes. Pokhara is a beautiful town in western Nepal and has been constantly attracting tourists. The landscape all along the path is a continually varying delight for the eye and your heart as there are wonderful rock canyons and rivers, undulating hills, terraced rice paddy fields and striking views of the Himalayas at its backdrop. The places in and around Pokhara is the most admired destination in Nepal apart from Kathmandu. It’s a region with beauty in its most natural form and serves as the base for some of the most popular treks in Nepal and the world. There is the unbelievable Annapurna range that comprises of the famous Annapurna I to IV plus Annapurna South, and the magnificent Machhapuchhare popularly known as the ‘fishtail’ mountain.

Days 9 -10 : Chitwan National Park
In the morning we will be taking a bus for a journey to Chitwan. Here we will be visiting the Chitwan National Park. The park is home to some of the most endangered animals on earth. This is perhaps one of the most wonderful sanctuaries in the world due to its dense nature and numerous animals living safely in the remote parts of the jungle. The one horned Rhinoceros, Tiger, Leopard, different species of wild cats, elephants, sloth bear, gaur, wild boar, crocodiles, rhesus monkeys, pythons and the king cobra find shelter in this beautiful park. There are also about 350 species of birds which includes peacocks and eagles. You can have the pleasure of riding the tamed Asian Elephant and explore the Jungle. A jungle safari is almost incomplete without an elephant back ride. You will have an opportunity to see the wonderful one horned Rhino which is perhaps one of the most endangered species in the world. Canoes are also available across the Rapti River. You can see fresh water dolphins and crocodiles here. But there's no need to worry because the crocodile will not attack you unless provoked.
You will also be offered a lot of other activities like jungle walks and bird watching. The best time to explore the area is early morning or late afternoon. You will be advised to not wear any bright colored clothes to provoke these animals.

Day 11 : Kathmandu
We will catch a bus to Kathmandu following the road that moves beside the Trishuli River.

Day 12 : Phakding
You will be transferred to the airport for the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight is considered one of the most exciting flights in the world. From the aircraft the spectacular view of the snow line of the Himalayan range will leave you spellbound. The flight will take about 1 hour. After landing at the Lukla airstrip (2,800m) you will head north-west. The trail starts at the distant end of the village and steadily moves downward to Chapling (8,767 ft). The trail offers you a breathtaking view of the Dudh Koshi River in the valley below and also the village of Chaunrikarka several hundred feet below. From Chapling, the trail further descends to Ghat. Finally with a series of climbing and descending you reach Phakding. (2,652m). This trek will take about 3 hours.

Day 13 : Namche Bazaar
The trek to Namche is quite a steep climb. The trail will take you across the Imja Drangka and the Nangpo Drangpo which are tributaries of the Dudh Kosi. While you are crossing the river on a lofty suspension bridge you leave Solu District to enter Khumbu of which Namche Bazar is the largest village and the administrative center. The trail from the bridge gets steeper. At the middle point up the hill, the views of Everest (8,850m) and Lhotse (8,511m) come into sight. The trail then continues steeply through a forest and reaches a tea house which could act as a resting spot. Diverge right from the tea house to reach Namche Bazar.

Day 14 : Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day
At Namche, there is a police outpost, a post office and a bank that offers a money exchange facility. If it is a Saturday, you will witness a weekly bazaar that is held at this day of the week. The merchandise exhibited here includes granules and vegetables, sports shoes as well as well manufactured Tibetan boots. Thamserku (6,648m) and Kwangde (6,224m) are visible to the east and west respectively, and Khumbila (5,707m), the mountain held sacred by the locals, governs the skyline to the north at the rear end the village.

Day 15 : Khumjung
From Namche we will have to make a steep ascent to the airstrip at Shyanboche. We will have to walk past the Everest View Hotel which is well known for its viewpoint. It is well known for the view it provides of all the beautiful snow peaks that dominate the skyline. You can see the Ama Dablam, the towering Everest which stands right at the head of the Dudh Kosi valley. We can also see the monastery at Tengboche at a distance. From here we will be heading down to the twin villages of Kunde and Khumjung.

Day 16 : Monjo
Today we will go back to the Shyanboche airstrip but by a different route. From there we will move back to Namche. This is a relatively easy trek day and we can have a nice time walking down towards the Dudh Kosi River valley and on to the village of Jorsale. We will leave the national park here and follow the trail that leads to the village of Monjo (2835mt) where we will halt overnight. This trek will take us 5 hours.

Day 17 : Lukla (2800m) Trekking 5 hours
Today we will be retracing our steps chasing the Dudh Kosi and crossing to the bank and moving to the west side of the river at Benkar. The walk is easy as you move amidst blue pine tress and rhododendron forests. Soon we will reach Phakding. In the afternoon we will descend towards the airstrip of Lukla.

Day 18 : Kathmandu
We will take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. There are a lot of things you can do in Kathmandu. You can visit Thamel which is a sprawling tourist hub and you can also check out some historical sights here.

Day 19 : Kathmandu
Tour ends here.
